Well Poke have branched out and launched a new office in New York City and to go with it a new PokeNYC site which I really like, it’s very simple and effective. Inspiration must have come from Red Interactive’s site in the way in which you can chat to other people viewing the site (see this post). What’s also nice is the way that they’ve set up a live webcam where you get a small glimpse into their office, see people walking about, chatting and interacting with the users. The webcam is set up in a clever way, almost like a stage - so they have an element of control over what get’s broadcasted, rather than have a live webcam in the studio where you might find people scratching their arse or revealing confidential information totally by accident. All in all it’s a very friendly and interesting site and one that I’ll go back to from time to time to see what’s happening.
