Red Interactive’s new site is great! As soon as you enter the site, a character appears representing you. You can chat to other people viewing the site, fly around and even start fights. What’s interesting to me is the fact that you’re able to interact with people that are viewing the site, a bit like a product I’m beta testing at the moment called Me.dium. Me.dium is really a FireFox addon which reveals people looking at the same site as you. You can chat to them and add them as friends – it’s a really interesting way of meeting people who are interested in the same things as you. Also interesting the way the browser itself can become a social network. It’s early days yet so there doesn’t seem to be that many people using it yet, but I can see it being a useful tool if and when it gets take up.

Very cool. Their interface is really fun and I was amazed when I started flying around their site. There’s a ton of growth in this space right now and it’s cool seeing the different approaches.
Thanks
